FGm series
FGm series — ten-axis pulse motion PLC
Ten pulse axes at 200 kHz with interpolation and electronic cam — a motion controller without leaving the pulse world.
The FGm series is the pulse-type motion specialist. Ten pulse channels at up to 200 kHz, with real-time speed and position adjustment, drive ten servo drives simultaneously, with interpolation, CAD import and electronic cam. Counting covers 12 single-phase channels plus 6 AB-phase channels, and up to 8 expansion modules are shared with the FGs series.
The single model, FGm-64MT-AC, provides 32 inputs and 32 NPN transistor outputs in 216 × 92 × 80 mm and 769 g, from AC 100–240 V. Software is SamSoar II.
The distinction against PRO/MAX is worth stating: FGm generates pulses, PRO drives an EtherCAT bus. Ten pulse axes on FGm are cheaper than ten EtherCAT axes, and cheaper still when the drives on the machine are already pulsed. The moment the axis count passes ten, or the machine needs coordinated interpolation across more axes than pulse outputs can carry, the bus platform takes over.
Ten axes, no bus
Ten servo drives driven directly from pulse outputs, with real-time speed and position adjustment while running.
Counting to match
12 single-phase and 6 AB-phase channels for encoders and handwheels.
CAD to motion
Import a drawing and generate the path, with electronic cam for the synchronised stages.

Model range
FGm main unit
One model covers the family; the axis count is what distinguishes it.
| Model | I/O | Output | Pulse axes | Expansion | Supply | W×H×D (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FGm-64MT-AC | 32 DI / 32 DO | Transistor NPN | 10 × 200 kHz | 8 modules | AC 100–240 V | 216 × 92 × 80 |
Weight 769 g. Interpolation, CAD import and electronic cam are built in.
Selection notes
How to choose within the range
- Ten axes is the ceiling on pulses. Beyond that, move to PRO/MAX over EtherCAT.
- DRIVE selection matters more than usual here: ten axes at 200 kHz need drives that accept 200 kHz pulse input, and the R8 P-variants do.
- Share the FGs expansion modules — analogue and temperature channels come from the same catalogue.
