FAT series PLC — the DC 24 V narrow frame
The FAs architecture in a 64 mm wide 24 V DC body — for cabinets with no mains distribution at the controller.
The FAT series applies the same compiled architecture and CAN expansion in a narrow DC 24 V ±20 % frame of 64 × 97 × 72 mm and 239 g at 16 points, with four pulse outputs and four counter inputs on a 64-module bus at 1 Mbps.
It exists for cabinets that run on 24 V only — mobile equipment, vehicle-mounted systems, machines with a central 24 V supply and no mains distribution near the controller. The 64 mm width means two controllers fit where one AC frame would.
Password protection covers upload, download and monitoring plus folder, subroutine and function-block passwords; memory holds more than 20,000 lines of user program plus 16 kB of power-fail storage. Ports are two RS485 interfaces, a full-speed USB port and, on E variants, Ethernet; the 32-point FAT-32MT-DC has no Ethernet.
Narrow body

200 kHz outputs and four counter inputs, enough for a small multi-axis fixture.

All models are DC 24 V ±20 %; check the output type before ordering — MT is transistor, MR is relay.
Selection notes
How to choose within the range
- The 32-point FAT-32MT-DC has no Ethernet; choose a 16-point E model if the machine needs Modbus TCP.
- Use the same S-series expansion modules as the FAs series — the CAN bus is identical.
- For a mixed AC/DC cabinet, a FAT plus a small 24 V supply is usually cheaper than adding a 24 V bus to an AC frame.
