EA series
EA series – the entry-level HMI
A real-time panel for builds where the HMI is a display, a serial port and a membrane keypad replacement — and nothing more.
The EA series is the entry level. It keeps a real-time operating system on an industrial ARM9 at up to 300 MHz, 128 MB of flash and 64 MB of DDR3, with a single COM port that integrates RS232, RS422 and RS485, USB download, 26K true colours and the usual configuration-protection mechanisms. FCC Class A and CE approval apply as they do across the range.
The naming rule mirrors the SK series: a size code (035, 043 or 070) followed by a cut-out letter, A or B. Where a build needs a small panel, a serial link and nothing else — a pump controller, a single-axis fixture, a stand-alone test bench — the EA does the job at a lower cost than an SK with interfaces the machine will never use.
Reach for an SK instead when the machine needs Ethernet, 4G, Wi-Fi, CAN, recipes, data logging or more than one serial port. The price difference between an EA and a base SK is small next to the cost of discovering that a port is missing after the panel is in the door.
Real-time, not Linux
A deterministic real-time system boots straight into the project; there is no desktop and nothing to close down.
One COM port, three standards
RS232, RS422 and RS485 share the single connector, selected in software — one cable family for any controller.
Same protection
Configuration encryption and password levels match the SK series, so a project cannot be lifted from the panel.

Model range
EA models by size
Resolution follows the diagonal. Cut-out letters (A or B) select the aperture — confirm the door drawing before ordering.
| Series | Screen | Resolution | Processor | Memory | Interfaces | Software |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EA-035 | 3.5" (4:3) | 320 × 240 | ARM9, 300 MHz | 128 MB FLASH / 64 MB DDR3 | COM: RS232/422/485 · USB download | SATOOL |
| EA-043 | 4.3" (16:9) | 480 × 272 | ARM9, 300 MHz | 128 MB FLASH / 64 MB DDR3 | COM: RS232/422/485 · USB download | SATOOL |
| EA-070 | 7" (16:9) | 800 × 480 | ARM9, 300 MHz | 128 MB FLASH / 64 MB DDR3 | COM: RS232/422/485 · USB download | SATOOL |
The EA range is specified by size and cut-out; ask for the dimensional drawing for the exact aperture on an existing enclosure.
Selection notes
How to choose within the range
- Choose EA for pumps, single fixtures, test benches and other machines that only need a serial link.
- Move up to SK when the machine needs Ethernet, 4G, Wi-Fi, CAN, recipes, data logging or two serial ports.
- SATOOL projects are separate from SKTOOL; the two editors do not share project files.

Tell us what the machine has to do.
Send the axis count, the I/O list or a photo of the existing panel. You get a model recommendation, a wiring note and a quote — usually within one business day.
