About
An export desk for the machines your customers buy
Rockhood Automation supplies HMI panels, programmable controllers and servo systems to machine builders and system integrators — with the model selection, documentation and shipping schedule that an export order actually needs.
What we do
A narrow range, held together
We sell three things: the panel on the door, the controller in the cabinet and the servo on the axis. They come from one manufacturing base in Shenzhen, share one protocol library and one software toolchain, and consolidate into one consignment.
That narrowness is deliberate. A machine builder sourcing a panel from one distributor, a controller from a second and a drive from a third spends the integration budget on the gaps between them — a driver that does not exist, a cable that does not match, a lead time that arrives a month after the other two.
The products themselves are well documented: every model has a cut-out drawing, an envelope drawing, a port map and a specification table. Most of our work is making sure the right model goes into the crate, and that the paperwork the destination market wants is in there with it.
One production base
Design, firmware and production in Shenzhen, Guangdong, with 75 national patents on the product line, including 18 invention patents. The company behind the hardware was founded in 2007.
Documented for the destination
CE and FCC declarations, English manuals, packing lists and certificates of origin prepared per shipment — not requested after the container has sailed.
Operating principles
How the desk works
Three habits that decide whether an export order arrives usable.
Specify before quoting
We ask for the I/O list, the axis count, the cut-out and the destination. A quotation built on those four answers a question; a quotation built on a model name answers a guess.
Sample before volume
One unit ships for bench testing, with the wiring checked against the machine before a production run is committed. A panel that does not fit a door is cheaper to discover at the bench.
Document before shipping
Declarations, drawings and manuals are collected while the goods are being packed, so the consignment clears customs without a documentation round trip by email.
The range in numbers
What is actually on the shelf
Forty SK panel variants from 3.5 to 15.6 inches, five PLC families from 16 to 66 I/O, expansion to 64 CAN modules, and servo drives from 400 W to 3 kW. Those are catalogue figures, not marketing ones — every model is listed with its dimensions.
The software is free to install and runs in English. The protocol library covers more than 300 controller models, which is usually the number that decides whether a panel can go onto an existing machine.

A short description is enough. We reply with a model recommendation and a quote, or with the questions that would change the recommendation.
