Three families — the face, the logic and the motion — plus the all-in-one bodies that combine two of them. Every page carries the model table, the cut-out or envelope dimensions and the code that names each option.

Choosing a starting point

Start from the machine, not the catalogue

Three questions settle most of it: how many I/O points and axes, what supply the cabinet provides, and how much space the door gives you.

A machine with one to four pulsed axes and a panel on the door is an FAs or an all-in-one. Add a second enclosure and Ethernet and it becomes an SK plus a FAs. Past eight axes, or with coordinated contouring, the PRO/MAX platform and R8 EtherCAT drives take over.

If the answer is not obvious, describe the machine in an email. That is what the export desk is for, and it is faster than reading four model tables.

Describe the machine

Count I/O and axes

Up to 8 axes on pulse: FAs, FGm or FGs. Beyond that: PRO/MAX over EtherCAT.

Check the supply

AC 100-240 V for FAs, FGs and FGm; DC 24 V for FAT, FGR and PRO/MAX.

Measure the door

The cut-out letter is part of the model code — match it before choosing the diagonal.

Software

The toolchain that ties the three together

SKTOOL, SATOOL and SamSoar 2022 are free to download and run in English. Cloud 3.0 adds the remote layer.

Next step

Tell us what the machine has to do.

Send the axis count, the I/O list or a photo of the existing panel. You get a model recommendation, a wiring note and a quote — usually within one business day.
