IoT HMI

IoT HMI – 4G and Wi-Fi panels with cloud access

The standard panel plus a plug-in module: remote screen mirroring, program upload and alarm push, with no change to the cut-out.

An IoT HMI is the standard panel plus a module. The module clips onto the back of the housing on a plug-and-play connector, so the front face, the cut-out and the wiring are unchanged — the machine gains a network path without a second enclosure.

Once online, the panel offers VNC screen mirroring to a PC or phone, remote program upload and download, remote PLC pass-through, up to 280 data points, up to 20,000 historical records and alarm push to a client application. Both the 4G and the Wi-Fi modules reconnect automatically after a network drop and resume from the last state, which matters on a machine in a shed with a weak signal.

The practical use is commissioning and support: an engineer can watch the screen, change a parameter or upload a new PLC program without a flight. For an export machine, that is the difference between a two-day site visit and a twenty-minute remote session.

Plug-in, not built-in

The module clips to the back of the panel. A machine can ship without it and gain connectivity later, or ship with Wi-Fi and switch to 4G.

Reconnects after a drop

Automatic reconnection and offline resumption keep a marginal cellular link usable without a site visit.

Records that survive

Up to 20,000 historical records and 280 data points, with alarm push to an app and to a messaging account.

The -G suffix adds the IoT module and Ethernet where the base model lacks it; otherwise the hardware is the same panel.

What clips onto the back

Expansion

4G module

LTE-TDD B34/B38/B39/B40/B41 and LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B8, with optional GSM900/DCS1800. A SIM slot sits on the module, which clips onto the back of the panel.

Expansion

Wi-Fi module

IEEE 802.11b/g/n. Same plug-and-play connector, same cloud access, for sites with Wi-Fi but no cellular coverage.

Expansion

Cloud 3.0

Device list, device map, VNC, alarm push, historical data, OTA firmware and remote PLC download — configured by drag and drop.

Selection notes

How to choose within the range

  • Order the module with the panel when the destination site has no Wi-Fi; retrofitting 4G later means a second shipment.
  • Alarm push reaches a client app and a messaging account — useful where the operator is not at the machine.
  • Remote PLC pass-through covers upload, download and monitoring, not just the HMI screen.
